Video Review Role

  • Updated

You might have members of your team who need to be able to watch events but don’t want or need to handle any scheduling, on-demand videos, or anything else. The Video Review role will allow that user to only view web videos, embed options, and any cues shared with them.

The Saved Videos tab is where your on-demand content is stored if you have Resi’s Content Library, our archiving and storage tool. With the Content Library, you can save web videos indefinitely, each with its own embed code and Stream URLs. To learn more, see Resi’s Content Library.

Outside of the Library, the user has access to view all organization analytics, but doesn’t have access to any settings except to edit their personal information and change their password.

How Do I Assign a User as Video Review?

When inviting a new user, select Video Review as their role. An Organization Admin can change any user’s roles at any time. To change a user’s role to Video Review:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Users and Permissions.
  2. Click on the user who’s role you want to change.
  3. Click the edit icon image8.png.
  4. Under Permissions, disable any roles that aren’t Video Review.
  5. Enable Video Review. image7.png

All permissions will be grayed out except Video Review. To learn more about users and permissions, see Manage your Team in Studio.

View cues for a web video

Cues are timestamped markers you can use to mark a specific time in a video when an event happens or to section the video. You can easily access different events quickly and easily for your viewers. The video review role has permissions to add cues to a web video.

  1. Navigate to the Library > Web Videos.
  2. Click on the video you want to add cues to.
  3. Navigate to the Cues tab.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the cues that have been shared with you. image5.png

To learn more about cues, see Add Cues to a Video.

Access the individual video’s embed code

Users with video review permission can also access the individual event’s embed code to copy and paste in a hosting platform.

We recommend using the web channel’s embed options because the individual video embed code isn’t static. If you use the individual web video’s embed codes and have a recurring schedule, you’ll have to change the embed code for each event. The Call to Action button is also only available on the web channel’s embed options. The video review role does not have access to web channels.

  1. Navigate to the Library > Web Videos.
  2. Click the video you want to watch.
  3. Navigate to the Embed tabimage12.png
  4. To copy an embed code or Stream URL for use, click the copy icon image2.png  then paste to your hosting platform.

The video review role has access to view the organization’s analytics from an individual event or all events. It can also view analytics from the embed player, stream URLs, and social media.

  1. Navigate to the Analytics page.
  2. Choose whether you want to see viewers for a single event or a breakdown of analytics for all events (All Events is the default).
  3. If you want to see viewership from a single event, click Event List. image11.png
  4. A modal pops up which shows you viewership for individual events. image9.png
  5. To see a breakdown of analytics for all your events, close the modal.
  6. Choose where you’d like to see analytics from (Embed player, Stream URLs, or individual social media destinations). image14.png
  7. Scroll down to see a breakdown of the analytics.

  1. Navigate to Settings.
  2. Change or fill in any details you want.
  3. To change your password, click Change Password.
