Download or Share an Event Video

  • Updated

In Studio, you can download or share a download link for any of your saved, web, or encoder videos.

You can download any saved, encoder, or web video in its entirety or set cues to download just a section of it (Learn more). When encoder and web videos expire or you remove them, any generated download links associated with them will no longer work. With a  Content Library subscription, you can save videos permanently and generate persistent links to them.

There are two ways to download a video:

  • Download directly from Studio as an MP4 to your computer.
  • Generate a download link that you can share with anyone to download your content without giving them access to Studio.

Download a Saved Video

Access to the Saved Videos tab requires a Content Library subscription.

To download a saved video:

  1. Navigate to the Library > Saved Videos.
  2. Hover over the video you want to create the download link for and click the actions icon image1.png > Downloadimage6.png
  3. In the modal that appears, configure the video bitrate and audio channels, then click Download Video or Create Download Link. If you created a download link, copy and send it to whomever you want to make the download available to. image7.png

Video Player Compatibility

Downloaded web videos will play back in most video players. However, you may encounter playback issues if the video is encoded with HEVC or uses a large number of channels. In these cases, we recommend using the VLC media player.
