Does Resi Integrate with NDI?

  • Updated

While Resi does not integrate natively with NDI, you can use third-party converters to convert your NDI signal to SDI or HDMI, then run the out cable to your encoder.

Third-Party NDI converters

Here are two professional converters you can use to convert your NDI signal to HDMI or SDI and then connect them to Resi's encoder using the appropriate cables:

Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to SDI

The Magewell NDI to SDI converter changes an NDI stream with embedded audio to an SDI output signal. It supports resolutions up to 2K60 via NDI output and decodes at resolutions up to 1080p60 for 3G-SDI output. The converter supports both H.264 and H2.65 streams as well as 16-bit, 8 channel audio.

Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI

The Magewell NDI to HDMI converter decodes full NDI and NDI|HX, including other variants into HDMI. It up-converts the decoded HD signals to 4K for viewing on Ultri HD displays. The converter supports both H.264 and H.265 streams as well as 16-bit, 8-channel audio streams.

The peripherals we described in this article are recommended based on how well they have worked for other Resi customers. However, your specific organization’s recording setup and needs may not be compatible with these third-party devices. Resi cannot provide support for these products and recommends that you either contact your specific device’s manufacturer or one of our local resellers too inquire about signal integration services.
