Can I Reimage My Encoder?

  • Updated

Reimaging your hardware is the process of manually reinstalling Resi's software on it.  Reimaging a hardware encoder or decoder is not the same as “factory resetting.” Each encoder and decoder is uniquely configured to work within your broadcasting environment. Because of this, there is no “default setting” that the hardware can be reset to.

In some rare cases, you may need to reimage your hardware if it won't boot up, its software becomes corrupt, or you are unable to load the login screen after connecting a mouse, monitor, and keyboard. If you're experiencing issues with your device’s software or operation, contact our technical support team. They will troubleshoot and, if necessary, provide the resources and steps to manually reimage your device.

You will need at least an 8 GB USB memory drive to complete this process.
